Noise and Fan Speed (Increased Temperatures)
With up to 780 W loads, the fan won't bother you. The fan's speed ramps up quickly with loads up to 1030 W and slows down afterwards. Note that you can change the fan speed profile through iCUE.
Noise and Fan Speed (~30°C)
The passive operation depends on the load you dial on the minor rails. The 150 W max combined power that Corsair states is too high, with 100 W being more realistic, so that you won't hear the fan with up to 880 W loads. With more than 980 W, the 30 dBA mark is passed, and with 1200 W and higher loads, noise output is between 35 - 40 dBA.
