Introduction
Corsair is a US-based peripherals and hardware company founded in 1994. The Katar Pro Wireless is Corsair's latest budget wireless offering. A wired variant named Katar Pro is to follow later, equipped with the PixArt PAW3327 sensor but otherwise the same mouse. Much like the recent SteelSeries Rival 3 Wireless, the Katar Pro Wireless can be operated either in low-latency 2.4 GHz or long-endurance Bluetooth mode. Driven by a single AA-battery, the Katar Pro Wireless is said to deliver up to 135 hours of battery life. The sensor part is filled by PixArt's PMW3325, which is natively capable of up to 5000 CPI, but reaches 10,000 CPI through interpolation on the Katar Pro Wireless. In the interest of higher battery life, Corsair decided to do without any fancy RGB lighting on the Katar Pro Wireless. As always, software support is provided by Corsair's iCUE.
