Shape

When it comes to the shape of an MMO/MOBA mouse, the most important thing to consider is comfort. While an FPS player may be inclined to put up with a slightly uncomfortable shape that is otherwise great to aim with, MMO/MOBA players play for hours on end without having to concern themselves with anything but comfort. In that regard, the Scimitar RGB Elite does well. It's a right-handed ergonomic shape primarily intended for palm grip, with a bulky body that can be fully palmed, a ring finger rest on the right side, and a little thumb rest to the left side, all designed to keep fatigue to a minimum. The ability to horizontally adjust the position of the key-slider button side panel further ensures that the hand can stay in a resting position with little need to reposition the thumb or other fingers. In short, the Scimitar RGB Elite does very well in terms of comfort.

What's an asset for MMO/MOBA players quickly becomes a liability for FPS players, however. The ring finger rest and button side panel add further width to an already wide mouse, which makes it difficult to properly grip the mouse firmly, not to mention the side buttons being in the way as well. The lack of proper grip makes it awfully difficult to quickly reposition the mouse, or flick it across the pad for a reaction shot. It's quite clear that this mouse isn't intended for FPS gaming despite the perfectly suitable sensor. Casually playing single-player FPS games is quite possible with the Scimitar RGB Elite, but for anything beyond that I'd rather look at a different mouse.

As for grip style, it's pretty much palm only for the reasons covered above. Claw grip works passably but is far from ideal. Some leeway in terms of hand size is provided by the adjustable side panel, but the Scimitar RGB Elite is quite bulky, so small hands might struggle to wrap around it. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and palm gripping the Scimitar RGB Elite worked just fine.
