The design of the Corsair Vengeance LPX is classically familiar in a way that is reminiscent of kits 10 years ago. The Vengeance Airflow device really lends to this impression with its anodized fan shroud. The heat spreader is cleanly stamped, and the anodized black finish will let this kit blend into almost any build, although it is important to note that this kit is only validated on high-end MSI X570 motherboards. I am a big fan of the RGB LED trend in the market, but for its emphasis on greater consumer choice, I stand with Corsair on preserving the Corsair Vengeance LPX focus on raw performance.

The Corsair Vengeance LPX performed well in testing as it was completely stable at XMP on my MSI MEG X570 ACE based test system. For overclocking, the Corsair Vengeance LPX proved to have absolutely no headroom where frequency is concerned. Given this is already the world's fastest production memory kit, that's really no surprise. Also unsurprising for the level of binning Corsair is doing to produce these kits, I was able to tighten timings quite a lot at 3600 MHz. Testing the 3600 MHz spec with tight timings against the high stock frequency specifications, we can see that the AIDA64 results are very competitive, with the 3600 MHz spec just edging out XMP.

Given the rather astronomic price of US$950, the Corsair Vengeance LPX 5000 MHz may seem like a product without a purpose. The same performance can be achieved at a fraction of the cost with lower frequency kits at tighter timings. However, not all products are meant to be the best value, some are meant to make a statement. Some of my favorite samples to review are the "because we can" halo products designed to show what a company can produce when they go all in.

So while I am in no way recommending this memory kit to the average or even enthusiast consumer, I am giving credit where credit is due: The Corsair Vengeance LPX 5000 MHz is a marvel of modern binning and quality control.
