The Sound Blaster Z ships in a small cardboard box that protects it well. It is the entry-level model from Creative, and only ships with a beam-forming microphone rather than the desktop controller that you get with the more expensive Zx and ZxR sound cards. For those looking for a simple sound card and a good microphone, the Z is probably the best card of the bunch since it packs all the same features as the Zx for less money.
The real treat of the Sound Blaster Z is the additional microphone of decent-quality.
