The Crucial Ballistix Sport VLP sticks measure in at just 18.76mm tall, or should I say, short.


Installed into my ASUS MAXIMUS VI EXTREME, the sticks barely reach higher than the DIMM slots clips, making these sticks small enough to never pose any issues when it comes to fitting aftermarket cooling.


I was happy to note that Crucial stuck the labels on the side of the DIMMs facing the socket when installed into an Intel SKT 1150-based board, for an unobstructed view of the heatspreader's complete look in my test bench. Looking down from above, the small Crucial Ballistix Sport VLP sticks are barely visible, which creates a nice stealthy look, though the green PCB stands out like a sore thumb once you change the angle at which you view the sticks.
