Though not an exact match in terms of dimensions, the A980 Pro Max is clearly modeled after the Razer Basilisk V3. The A980 Pro Max ends up being a bit shorter and not as tall, and the front sits higher, but other than that, they are quite close. More specifically, the difference between the left and right main buttons is much less pronounced on the A980 Pro Max, and while the main buttons are still elongated, they aren't as elongated as on the Basilisk V3, and they're also of similar length and shorter altogether. The side button layout likewise is different, as the A980 Pro Max features two smaller buttons that are taller than wide, and the sniper button is located towards the bottom instead of towards the front. As a result, one's thumb may end up sitting right on top of the sniper button when palm-gripping. Overall, a tried and tested shape that works well in practice.


As for grip styles, I'd say the A980 Pro Max is generally suited for palm and claw grip. It is a large mouse with a moderately pronounced hump, which makes it more suitable for medium to large hands. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the A980 Pro Max perfectly comfortable in claw grip.

This table includes the dimensions of the DAREU A980 Pro Max and several other right-handed ergonomic mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
