Finished Looks

Compared to the all-black design of the AS500 I reviewed a few years ago, the all-white design of the AS500 Plus, while simplistic, will easily become the center of attention in a black and white themed build. Once the ARGB lighting is turned on, not noticing DeepCool's latest offering is impossible.

Memory clearance is perfect, meaning the cooler delivers on its promised features. While our older test system did have clearance issues with the first expansion slot, on modern systems, and M.2 SSDs being the new norm, the extra space between the cooler and primary PCIe slot means we had no issues with graphics card clearance. While this may still be a problem on some Mini-ITX boards or older platforms, moving forward with a brand-new system, most users shouldn't have any clearance problems with memory or graphics cards.

The ARGB lighting on the DeepCool AS500 Plus, much like its sibling, is very subtle, but still pleasing to the eye. It avoids being over the top or tacky, instead offering a visually appealing ARGB implementation that should fit most build themes. Should you choose to forgo the ARGB lighting, you will still end up with a good-looking cooler.
