Software and Lighting
The software of the DM1 FPS is very simple; it only has a single window where you can pretty much find everything. It has a few typos here and there and is a bit cluttered, but overall, it's perfectly usable. You can reach the profiles by pressing the Config button in the bottom-right corner, and can also quickly access the profiles over the top-right corner's drop-down menu. The key-mapping settings are on the left, with the macro editor and polling rate options below that. On the right side are the resolution and lighting settings.
As for the lighting, there are three effects; you can pick static, breathing, or cycling. Only the scroll wheel has backlighting, and it's honestly not very bright and doesn't look impressive. However, this mouse is obviously built with performance and not eye candy in mind.
This program consumes 24 MB of memory and takes up 32.6 MB of disk space in my configuration, which means I can call it lightweight.
