Screen InStyle
EIZO offers the Screen InStyle (Windows, macOS) software, which can be used to configure the monitor without having to deal with the OSD and to access some interesting extra features.
For example, here you can attach specific color profiles to desired applications, to have the monitor switch between them automatically as soon as the app is started.
The HotKeys submenu lets you define hotkeys for actions such as picture profile and input signal switching, allowing you to quickly jump between these settings.
The Screen Layout submenu is useful in theory, but made redundant by the same functionality now being offered within Windows 11 natively.
Should you have multiple EIZO FlexScan EV3240X monitors daisy-chained, Screen InStyle will keep their settings synced. Nice!
Circadian Dimming is another interesting option, which taps into the high-quality LED backlight system of the EIZO FlexScan EV3240X and enables you to finely adjust the color temperature depending on the time of the day. The idea is that the color temperature drops the later it gets, making the picture warmer, resulting in a natural adjustment to the circadian rhythm – the physical and mental changes a human organism experiences over a 24-hour cycle. Of course, if color accuracy is what you're primarily after, using such a feature isn't an option, but others should give it a try and see if they feel any positive changes.
