The Package

The Elgato Facecam comes neatly packed in a good-looking box. The box depicts the camera mounted on the supplied monitor stand and goes over its key features, such as the uncompressed 1080p60 image quality, onboard flash memory, glass optics, and so on. The box doesn't mention the fact that the Facecam lacks a built-in microphone array, which might come as an unpleasant surprise to buyers who will pick it up simply because they trust and like the Elgato brand without combing through its technical specifications in greater detail, or reading the reviews.


Inside the box, you'll find the camera, a 1.9-meter detachable USB-C cable, and a quick start guide. The Facecam comes preinstalled with a monitor mount, as well as a privacy cap. Both can be removed easily.
