PCB Analysis
EVGA has completely re-engineered the GTX 1070 Ti PCB with a 10+2 phase VRM setup.
The NCP 81274 GPU voltage controller generates a five phase power signal, which is then run through NCP81162 phase doublers to feed the ten power phases.
The dual-phase memory VRM is powered by an NCP 81278 voltage controller.
The GDDR5 memory chips are made by Micron and carry the model number D9TCB. They are specified to run at 2000 MHz (8000 MHz GDDR5 effective).
NVIDIA's GP104 graphics processor is the first consumer chip using the Pascal architecture. It is produced on a 16 nm process at TSMC, Taiwan, with a transistor count of 7.1 billion and a die size of 314 mm².
