Packaging
Aside from the mouse, one finds a quick start guide and a box for the weights (5 g each) in the box.
Weight
My scale shows around 106 g (+/- 1 g), which is largely in line with the weight EVGA cites. The X17 definitely doesn't qualify as lightweight, although it's not excessively heavy either given its size. Two additional LOD sensors and ten buttons in total do come at a price. If desired, up to five weights of 5 g each may be added to the X17, which brings the total weight to no less than 131 g. The weights are kept in place by a magnetically held door—removing it shaves off about 2 g.
Cable
The X17 features a regular braided cable. Compared to the cables of non-8000 Hz mice, the cable on the X17 has more shielding to ensure signal integrity at 8000 Hz. As such, when replacing the stock cable, it is strongly recommended to use one with similarly strong shielding as unexpected behavior may otherwise be introduced, especially if external sources of interference, such as EMI, are present. While not ultra-stiff, the cable is quite a bit worse in terms of flexibility than that of the Razer Viper 8K. Its measured length is 2 m.
Feet
The feet on the X17 are regular black-dyed PTFE (Teflon) feet. Glide is fine. The ring around the sensor ensures CPI stays consistent upon applying vertical pressure. The ring wasn't properly applied on my sample.
