Shape

Though nominally the successor to the Helios XD3 V2, the Helios II Pro had its shape slightly modified. Most notably, the hump is lower on the Helios II Pro, and the back doesn't flare out as much. Aside from that, all other dimensions match, though the changes suffice to make the Helios II Pro feel less like a Zowie S2. Other elements such as the depth of the main buttons comfort grooves, the ledges next to the main buttons, or the size and placement of the side buttons, have been retained from the Helios XD3 V2 and, by extension, the Zowie S2. Overall, not a particularly original but well-working design.


As for grip styles, I'd say the Helios II Pro mostly suits claw and fingertip grip. It is a medium-sized mouse with a moderately pronounced hump, which should make it generally suit most hand sizes. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the Helios II Pro very comfortable in claw grip.

Dimensions

This table includes the dimensions of the Fantech Helios II Pro and several other ambidextrous mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
