I really enjoyed playing with the G.Skill F3-2133C9Q-32GXH kit. I was shocked at first to find the low required VCCIO, and then by the speed offered, seemingly coming from nowhere. Considering the fairly slow timings, I really did not expect this kit to be the highest performing of kits, yet it managed to pull into first place in no less than five of our tests. Offering 32 GB of capacity at 2133 MHz, and requiring no memory controller increases, unless pushing really high CPU speeds on the X79 platform is outright amazing, and getting 16 GB on Z68/P67 to 2133 MHz is amazing as well, but this kit did even more, with all four sticks working in our ASUS P8P67 PRO.
I wasn't impressed to see the G.Skill website list this kit as having only 2-stick operation as certified for those platforms, as we had no issues at all, but because we ran into cold-boot issues with one of the XMP profiles, we fully understand why that notice is there. I did search the Internet for kits offering the same capabilities and capacity, but I could not find a single kit, except others from G.Skill. It just goes to show that G.Skill is ahead of the game when it comes to high performance memory, so much so few can offer what G.Skill and this F3-2133C9Q-32GXH kit can.
