Shape

The shape of the Hati-S2 8K is best described as a shorter and lower-profile Hati-S. The key properties of the Hati-S are all intact, from the mostly centered and quite rapidly sloping down hump, to the front and back flaring out to the same, moderate degree, and the main button having moderately deep comfort grooves. The design where the base is narrower at the front, resulting in small ledges next to the main buttons, too has been retained. The only differences indeed lie in the length and height, as the Hati-S2 8K has a lower profile overall, though given the strong palm support of the Hati-S shape, the Hati-S2 8K still fills the palm quite effectively. Those using a more aggressive claw grip in particular likely will be able to appreciate the Hati-S2 8K.


As for grip styles, I'd say the Hati-S2 8K is mainly suited for claw grip, though fingertip grip is also possible. It is a small mouse with a pronounced hump, which should make it generally suitable for most hand sizes. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the Hati-S2 8K perfectly comfortable in claw grip.

Dimensions

This table includes the dimensions of the G-Wolves Hati-S2 8K and several other ambidextrous mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
