  • The Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3 retails for $179.99
  • New all-black color scheme
  • Clean, traditional layout
  • Fully featured BIOS for overclocking
  • Excellent power savings when enabled, functional even when overclocked
  • Superb audio reproduction
  • Hybrid EFI bios with support for 3 TB+ drives
  • Requires significantly more voltage at given clocks compared to other boards currently on the market
  • MOSFET cooling does not make proper contact with all MOSFETs
  • Limited drive connectivity compared to other products in the same price range
  • No provided accessory to take advantage of front USB 3.0 header
  • Four SATA cables, six SATA ports
The Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3 impressed us straight out of the box. The new color scheme used by Gigabyte is significantly easier on the eyes in comparison to their previous product lines, and very truly adds to the overall feel of quality put into this motherboard. While there were a few niggling issues that hold us back from giving this product a higher rating, the issues we found do not really detract from the board's overall function. We would, however, like to see Gigabyte include enough goodies in the box to make full use of all the board offers; the lack of a USB 3.0 header and only four included SATA cables, but a total of six internal ports, means that those that make full use of the board will have to spend a bit more money which could easily be remedied by adding these goodies in the box and adjusting pricing accordingly. We do understand however, that Gigabyte's approach to board design does differ from other manufacturers, and we would not like to see anything present removed to accommodate the added accessories while remaining within the same price point. The Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3 is most definitely a fast and powerful product, and the added excellent audio makes us easily sweep aside what we see as a big oversight on Gigabyte's part.
