Gigabyte's software package has also received an update and presents a new GUI design that matches the BIOS and board perfectly. It starts with an access bar that provides a launching platform for all the other parts in one place. I noticed a new tool, too. Called "USB Blocker", it can limit the ability to connect USB devices or new drives to the system.


BIOS updating from within the OS, application updates, and installation tools also received an update.


After many years, the tired, old EasyTune6 interface has finally been retired as well. A brand new EasyTune steps in to take over the same duties in a much more user-friendly way. There's also a built-in tool to automatically overclock your system, although it might set clocks a bit higher than some normal users might like; but I find that to be of little consequence as the focus of this product really is on overclocking.
