The HP V6 3200 MHz is stylish in its own classic HP way, which could appeal to those enthusiasts who shun the ostentatious trends that are popular in high-performance memory kits. Build quality is very good, and the lack of RGB LEDs can be a pro or a con depending on who you ask. While I am usually in favor of customizable lighting, I did not miss it on this kit.

The HP V6 3200 MHz performed well enough in testing, staying in line of what is expected for a 3200 MHz kit. For overclocking, the HP V6 3200 MHz proved to have virtually no overclocking headroom, reaching only 3400 MHz stable with my ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 7 and Intel Core i9-9900K combo. My Ryzen testing was not much better. The HP V6 3200 MHz achieved 3466 MHz with the stock XMP timings on my MSI MEG X570 ACE paired with a Ryzen 5 3600X.

The tested spec of HP V6 3200 MHz comes in at around US$49.99 per stick, which must be purchased individually. I like what HP has done with the design of the V6. It is both modern and neutral enough to work in a wide variety of builds, and also very distinctly "HP." The problem starts with the price. At US$99.98 for the tested configuration, there is no shortage of higher spec options from well-established enthusiast memory brands. This is compounded by the poor overclocking results and limited 5-year warranty. I like what HP is trying to do with the V6, but I can't recommend it at its current price.
