The HYTE Y70 is considerably cheaper than its display equipped Y70 Touch brother, clocking in at $220 - a whole $160 less. This makes sense, as the screen itself is expensive, but even removing it also adds a little bit of cost to the basic Y70 as you now have to have that glass panel instead. Still, no matter how you look at it, the HYTE Y70 still commands a premium compared to other cases, but still feels like it does so for good reason.
At closer look, besides the very obvious display, the Y70 borrows heavily from the very successful DNA of the Y60, with the same layout, hard drive support and design elements. As such, the case is an accumulation of tweaks like the thinner exterior metal strip which provides more window surface or the redesigned fan and liquid cooling mounting areas. You may also fit up to four-slot GPUs since you now have the space to do so.
On top of that, you still get all the unique details we have come to know from HYTE cases, like the grommet design, removable hard drive trays, clean glass panels and excellent cable management.
In the end the HYTE Y70 is really an improved larger version of the Y60 at its core, available in four base colors alongside several limited editions, HYTE continues to push forward with their design language and refreshing confidence to try new things while compromising as little as possible.
