We tried to run this test with a normal HDD since that would be more in line with the generation of hardware, but the drive we had available to us could not finish even the 1 GB test for some reason. That aside, the benefits of NVME (and RAID 0) are quite obvious, especially in sequential read and writes, with the 600p M.2 drives from Intel outperforming the standard SSD by nearly a factor of ten.
