KTC OLED G27P6 Review - More Affordable OLED Gaming

Design and Ergonomics

Aesthetics-wise, the KTC OLED G27P6 does some things to break the gaming monitor mold. The panel is supported by a V-shaped metal base and a metal stand, both gray, and has a mostly gray back. The OLED panel is of course impressively thin, as there's no traditional LED backlight that would make it thicker, and the bezels are exceptionally narrow as well. The screen-to-body ratio is 92.98%. The ports on the rear are hidden from sight with a plastic cover that seamlessly blends with the back of the monitor.

The KTC logo on the back of the monitor lights up when the monitor is on. You can change its colors and effects, or turn it off completely, which is probably the best course of action, as it serves no practical purpose. I'd suggest doing the same with the blue front LED, which is unusually large and somewhat distracting because of its brightness and off-center position.

The metal V-shaped base is very stable. It takes up a reasonable amount of space on the table surface: 43 centimeters from left to right, and around 21 centimeters from front to back. It attaches to the supplied stand with a single screw, which can be tightened with no tools necessary.

The purple cable clip is another interesting detail of the KTC OLED G27P6, albeit one most users won't get to enjoy, as the clip can be seen only when the panel is propped almost all the way up, which won't be necessary in most cases. The clip can hold several cables with ease.

The round stand, together with the base, detaches from the panel, should you want to move it to a table or wall mount. You'll need a VESA 75x75 mm mount, and you'll find the necessary spacers in the monitor's box.

The panel can be tilted from -5 to +20°.

Swiveling the panel by ±15 is also supported.

The total height adjustment range of the panel is 11 centimeters (4.33 in). When pushed down, the distance from the table surface to the edge of the bottom bezel is 8 centimeters (3.15 in).

The panel can be pivoted by 90° in either direction.
