Well, there is really nothing bad to say about the Lian Li PC-A05N. Especially considering that this chassis is very innovative considering the entry level price tag for an all-aluminum enclosure. The one aspect which some may not like is the limited I/O connectivity. While Firewire may not be as common, eSATA is, so it would have been nice to see that plug on the chassis. Another small issue is the fact, that the screw-less system for the 5.25 inch bay could be better. Besides these two small points - none of which are deal breakers, no matter how you look at it - the A05N shines. It is one of the cheapest Lian Li cases you can get your hands on, but still manages to score big with a very unique and functional interior layout, broad compatibility, effortless installation, clean and simple looks as well as quiet operation. All these aspects make this a no-brainer when looking for an affordable case, worthy of the Editor's Choice and Budget Awards.
We also want to write a few words about the Maxima Force PSU from Lian Li, as this marks the company's entry into the power supply market. Considering the solid specifications of the unit, along with the quiet operation and 80PLUS certification it is obvious that Lian Li is following the same philosophy as with their cases. That said, the choice of a rough exterior is a nice deviation from the norm, which does set Lian Li apart from the slew of other manufacturers out there. It will be interesting to see, what the company will do with their Maxima Force and Silent Force line-up of PSUs in the future.
