Introduction
Lypertek impressed me a lot with the
PurePlay Z3 TWS earphones, which were previously called TEVI and won many an award at a time when TWS earphones were just terribly tuned in general. The company then went one better with the
PurePlay Z3 2.0 that added more technological features, including wireless and fast charging of the case, among other things. With a proven track record, I simply had to say yes when Lypertek offered an early review sample of its next product launch!
The all-new Lypertek PurePlay Z5 is a step above the Z3 2.0, but falls between the PurePlay Z3 and Z7 in the Lypertek TWS lineup. It adopts all the updated features the Z3 2.0 has, which is a good start already, but adds active noise cancellation for the first time with a Lypertek TWS product. It's also hybrid ANC support at that, with ANC mode and an ambient listening mode in addition to the standard one. A new mobile app developed to go with the launch of the PurePlay Z5 is present as well, which is a complete re-design and will be covered in our review today that begins with a look at the product specifications in the table below.
