The Moneual Y601B Case is a small sturdy case that is built well. It did not come with an instruction booklet and one could not be located on the manufacturer's site, however, most users should be able to assemble their PC inside the Y601B without the need of instructions. Assembly was pretty straightforward and simple. Compared to other cases in this price segment the Y601B is well built out of thick steel. The included power supply is sufficient for most components that a typical user might use in such a case. We also found that even though the PSU has a small fan, it emits almost no noise that could disturb your movie watching experience. Wiring was a bit cramped but was still easy to manage given that you will not install that many components in such a system. The one and only issue that arose was clearance near the memory module slots. Depending on the length of the optical drive and memory you want to install, be prepared to face some clearance issues. Being that this case is designed for HTPCs, most users will only utilize one or two memory modules, so this should not be much of an issue. However, if you wish to use all four slots you could use low-profile memory modules which will fit just fine.

The Y601B does provide room for up to two 3.5 inch hard drives but if you use a floppy drive or memory card reader, one of the hard drive spaces is lost. The case utilizes a full size optical drive unlike many other slimline and small form factor cases which use slimline laptop optical drives. This keeps the overall build cost of the PC down and the choice of drives large. The case is affordable and can be purchased from major parts distributors making it easy to order along with all the components you choose to pack inside.
