Packaging
The package of our sample wasn't treated kindly by the shipping provider. Apparently, it was dropped at least once, as one of the side-panel carrying holes was ripped, which usually implies that someone picked it up swiftly and carelessly on that side exclusively. On the front of the box is a simple image of the chassis and the model name, while the side goes into detail about the enclosure's specifications. Opposite of that are a few marketing bulletin points, which shipping labels covered on our sample.
The X3 Mesh ships with two very compact Styrofoam spacers. While the chassis arrived just fine, it does have a few little blemishes as we will see later on. A thin plastic bag covers the case to keep away fingerprints and light scratches.
Contents
The contents within the X3 Mesh are as basic as they get, consisting of a bag of black screws with golden spacers and a simple assembly guide. There are no zip ties or any other extras. At this point it should become pretty apparent that Montech is really trying to optimize for pricing with the X3 Mesh.
