Board Software
We've not been fans of MSI's software in the past for the simple reason it was slow, clunky and even basic tasks such as controlling your fans was a far clumsier process than it was in the EFI. MSI has at least separated out the fan control section so you no longer have to hunt around in various menus of its MSI Center software and deal with the useless User Scenario section. However, you still need to hunt through too many menus and dropdowns to find the controls, and sadly it still feels quite slow and laggy. At least it is able to give you full control over all your fan curves as well as switching to other temperature inputs such as the VRMs or the single thermistor header. Thankfully you can see the temperature of whatever input you've selected in real time too, so you can easily adjust your fans or pumps and MSI's EX Conn connector is also present in the software.
There's very little point installing anything else as full overclocking isn't possible in the software other than the CPU voltage. Mystic Light is one that RGB fans might want to look at and thankfully there were no Windows security warnings installing this, unlike the ASRock X870E Taichi. Super Charger + simply shows the power, voltage and current output of the 27 W Type-C case header and System Diagnosis merely reports on storage usage and temperature.
