PCB Analysis

MSI has completely revamped the GTX 1070 Ti PCB with an 8+2 phase VRM setup. This PCB is identical to the MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X.


The UPI uP9511P voltage controller handles GPU voltage in an 8-phase configuration.


The dual-phase memory VRM is powered by a UPI uP1641.


The GDDR5 memory chips are made by Micron and carry the model number D9TQB. They are specified to run at 2000 MHz (8000 MHz GDDR5 effective).


NVIDIA's GP104 graphics processor is the first consumer chip using the Pascal architecture. It is produced on a 16 nm process at TSMC, Taiwan, with a transistor count of 7.1 billion and a die size of 314 mm².
