Storage Performance

The MEG Z390 GODLIKE has loads of storage interface options, though the back panel may seem limited to some. This is the first board I have tested with more USB 3.1 Gen2 than Gen1 ports on the rear I/O, and I think that is an important milestone. USB 2.0 is also completely absent from the back panel, which is another step forward.

I can see the comments already, and I know that some of you think that there are not enough USB ports on the rear I/O. I generally disagree and think five type-A ports and a type-C port is plenty, and there are enough internal headers to satisfy anyone with a more prolific peripheral collection.

The MEG Z390 GODLIKE has a couple of additional storage controllers; an ASMedia ASM1042 for the two USB 3.1 Gen1 ports on the back panel and an ASMedia ASM1074 for USB 3.1 Gen1 internal headers.
