The MSI MEG Z590 ACE features a sleek and modern aesthetic with exceptional attention to detail. The use of aluminium throughout with a minimal reliance on plastic lends the MSI MEG Z590 ACE a premium feel to match its suave appearance. The RGB LEDs are bright and intricate when on and unobtrusive when disabled. Paired with the stellar feature set, which includes four M.2 slots, Thunderbolt 4, and a cutting-edge audio solution, the MSI MEG Z590 ACE is a compelling package.

Out of the box, performance was excellent for the MSI MEG Z590 ACE. Memory overclocking was great as well. I achieved 4000 MHz CL16 stable with my Trident Z Neo kit on both 10th and 11th Gen CPU samples. For CPU overclocking, I was able to achieve 5.3 GHz on all cores on my i9-10900K and 5.2 GHz on my i9-11900K. As with Z490 before it, the largest limitation to overclocking with Z590 came down to dealing with the heat produced by the incredibly dense Intel Core i9 Processors. VRM thermals were excellent as well, never exceeding 55 °C during even my VRM torture testing. You will be hard pressed to find better thermal results outside of active cooling.

The MSI MEG Z590 ACE is an attractive, feature-packed board with great aesthetics, performance, and overclocking. At just under US$500, the MSI MEG Z590 ACE commands a hefty price tag, but if Thunderbolt and top-tier overclocking are what your are looking for, the MSI MEG Z590 ACE could be the perfect board for you.
