I must admit, I am rather impressed with the software MSI has on offer with their GAMING line-up. From their customized desktop wallpaper and down to MSI Command Center or MSI ECO Center, there are enough tools here for you to set your MSI Z97 GAMING 9 up in just the way you like.


Whether you want a bit more performance or are simply looking to check for updates, all that can be easily done; and Intel's default features that are built directly into the platform itself are just as readily accessible.


One of my favorite items is the inclusion of Intel's XTU software, customized just for MSI. With every option seen here working, which is unlike some of the other boards I have played with, IT works completely with the MSI Z97 GAMING 9. It's always a disappointment to get faulty software, which MSI easily avoided with their MSI Z97 GAMING 9!


There is also the standard gamut of stuff to make the most of the board's other hardware, like the network and audio panels, so whatever it is you're after, MSI has thought about it and has you covered—even when your system boots so fast you can't enter the BIOS.
