A Closer Look

The makeover of the Hero ST retained the benefits of its predecessor in line. Its ergonomic department is a heavy armory with many features. The backrest's recline can be adjusted from 90 to 125 to degrees, five degrees less than the previous model, by an oval aluminium lever on the right side of the seat's base, which has the noblechairs name and logo engraved on it. This lever is a new addition to the chair's design and boosts its upscale look.

Height is adjusted by a lever under the right side of the chair.

The maximum tilt for the rocking mechanism is 11 degrees, and a knob under the seat adjusts the tilt's resistance. Turning the knob clockwise can tighten or loosen the rocking resistance.

The recline can be locked or tilted backward by a lever under the seat's left side. The backrest does not recline all the way back but only until the maximum 125 degrees.

The integrated adjustable lumbar-support system found in the first Hero chair is also included in this model. The backrest is meant to align with the spine's natural curvature and help distribute a user's weight better, thus aiming to reduce back problems, support the pelvis area, and maximize comfort for extended use. A dial is at the right side of the backrest, which, when rotated clockwise, has the lumbar support system extend or retract. The dial has an aluminium integument with the noblechairs' logo engraved.

The two plastic seat-mount covers that secure the backrest to the seat base seem to be of good quality. However, the metal bolts can still be made out far off. I have an eye for details, and I cannot look away from them. These bolts could have been black, or the company could have included plastic covers in the tool kit.

Armrests

The armrests are manufactured from polyurethane and have enough padding. They are 4D, which is adjustable on four axes in height, depth, angle, and distance from the user. Compared to the ones typically used, they are oversized for added support, with a 10.5 cm (4.1") width and a depth of 27 cm (10.62"). Furthermore, three bolts under the seat's base regulate the distance between armrests.

Hydraulics

Every noblechairs chair is supplied with a hydraulic class 4 metal gas lift, responsible for all height adjustments and capable of supporting the maximum stated weight of 150 kg (330 lb). The protective dust-cover shroud is fabricated of a thin plastic layer.

Five-Star Base and Caster Wheels

The five-star base is manufactured from aluminium, powder-coated and black in color, to be consistent with the rest of the chair's aesthetic. The 60 mm caster wheels are polyurethane coated with Nylon cores, which makes them silent and easy to roll.

Neck and Lumbar-Support Pillows

The Hero ST has enough ergonomic features to cater to essential needs while sitting on it. Nevertheless, its bundle includes two complimentary cushions. Both cushions are covered in a black velour fabric that feels velvety to the touch. The brand's name is embroidered on both in gunmetal color thread.

The smaller one is stuffed with memory foam and is for neck support. It secures the headrest via a strap that goes around it.

The larger cushion is harder and can offer extra support to the pelvis area. It can be thrown on the chair as a sofa cushion or set to a desirable height with removable straps.
