A Closer Look

The Legend is equipped with an integrated adjustable lumbar support system, also found in the first Hero chair.


Even though there is an entire mechanism under the upholstery, the backrest has a slim profile. The backrest is supposed to follow the spine's natural curvature so that a user's weight is spread evenly. As such, it reduces or even prevents back problems and simultaneously offers the maximum comfort according to individual needs.


A dial on the right side of the backrest has the lumbar support system extend or retract. Lastly, the noblechairs logo is engraved on the aluminium integument.


The two plastic seat-mount covers that secure the backrest to the seat base have the brand's logo embossed on them. However, the metal bolts that secure the plastic components to the seat are distinguishable from an angle and distance, which is off with the chair's overall appearance. I have an eye for details, and I cannot look away from them. These bolts could have been black, or plastic covers should be included in the tool kit.


The upholstery of our sample is high-tech PU pleather and combines three colors: black, white, and red. This combination has the most sportive looks and the most elaborate embroidery. If a chair of this series were to be found in a gaming ring, this would be the one. Nevertheless, noblechairs want its chairs to fit in any working environment and potentially be used for a prolonged period; therefore, it has certified the Legend series with the European standard DIN EN 1335 for office chair certification.


In addition, the artificial high-tech PU pleather is breathable without perforations. According to the brand, it has exceptional water vapor and air permeability. At the same time, it is durable and abrasion resistant, certified with DIN EN ISO 5470-2, hydrolysis resistant, and fire resistant, certified with EN 1021-1+2, BS 5852 IS-0+1, MVSS 302, IMO FTC P8. Since it is a synthetic PU cover, it is easy to clean with a damp cloth and mild foam detergent for upholsteries.


The manufacturing procedure of all noblechairs is advanced machine-only, as it is in the automotive industry. Therefore, all details on the embroidery and upholstery are impeccable.


There is a cut-out on the headrest, which boosts the sports side of the tricolor Legend. The original idea was to allow additional airflow for the user's neck. The cutout allows for the straps of the lumbar support cushion to go through and secure to the rear of it. The aluminium glaze of the cut-out is a fine detail that endorses the recreational appearance of the Legend tricolor. The broad headrest is padded with memory foam to offer comfort for taller users without using the complimentary cushion. Clearly, noblechairs aims to equip its products with features for every user to maintain the proper posture. Finally, there is a discreet black metal tag with the company's name in gunmetal color in the middle of the backrest, and a large, embossed logo on the headrest.


At the rear side, the company's name and logo are engraved on the headrest's opening, and a black embroidered piece of fabric with the company's logo stamped on it is at the lower right side.

Armrests

The armrests are made of polyurethane (PU) and are well-padded. They are 4D, which has them adjusted in height, depth, angle, and distance from the user by levers on and under them. Compared to armrests typically used, they have larger dimensions to offer even better support, with a 10.5 cm (4.1") width and a depth of 27 cm (10.62").


Three bolts under the seat's base regulate the distance between the armrests.

Hydraulics

All height adjustments are managed by a hydraulic class 4 metal gas lift, which can support the maximum stated weight of 150 kg (330 lb). The dust-cover shroud is manufactured of a thin plastic layer and protects the gas lift from dust.

Five-Star Base and Caster Wheels

The five-star base is made of aluminium, and is powder coated black, with round edges to match the chair's look. The 60 mm caster wheels are polyurethane coated (PU) with Nylon cores for a silent and easy rotation. Moreover, the five-star base can swivel 360° degrees.

Neck and Lumbar-Support Pillows

Even though the Legend is equipped with all the ergonomic features of the brand's previous chairs, its bundle includes two gratis cushions. They are covered in a black velour fabric that has a velvety feel. The brand's name and logo are embroidered on both cushions in gunmetal thread.


The smaller one is stuffed with memory foam and is for neck support. A strap that goes around the headrest secures the cushion in place.


The larger does not contain memory foam padding and is meant to offer extra indulgence to the pelvis area. It can be thrown on the chair as a sofa cushion or adjusted to a desirable height with its removable straps.
