Finished Looks

I really do have a love-hate relationship with Noctua's color scheme. While it is uniquely associated with their brand and lets you know you have a quality product, it just doesn't look attractive in my own opinion, however, looks are subjective so if you do like it more power to you. Typically, a chromax.black variant does, eventually, follow on the classic color scheme release if you can bear to wait. That said, the Noctua color scheme doesn't match common build themes, the NH-D15 G2 stands out, which can be either a positive or a negative. Considering the hefty price tag, a top cover or an all black version at launch would have been nice to see.

As for memory and graphics card clearance, the NH-D15 G2 with fans does overhang all four DIMM slots. While memory compatibility is greatly improved by utilizing just one fan it also brings reduced cooling performance. Therefore, I would highly recommend sticking with standard or close to standard height memory for maximum compatibility, because if you need to raise the fan up to accommodate taller RAM you may then encounter clearance issues with the chassis.
