ASUS ROG Ally Optimized Settings
The ASUS ROG Ally fares much better, as long as you set the TDP higher than 15 W. At 15 W the CPU is starved of power, and you will experience noticeable frame drops. Even at higher TDPs you will experience occasional stutters, but they won't be as noticeable.
We recommend the 900p resolution because it gives you the best combination of image quality and performance. However, you're free to experiment with different power profiles, resolutions, and visual settings to achieve the image quality and performance combo that will suit you.
60 FPS Optimized Settings
The only way to reach a relatively stable 60 FPS performance on the ROG Ally at resolutions higher than 720p is to set the resolution to 900p, use the "Very Low" preset, and use Turbo (25 W) mode. You can set FSR to "Quality" or "Balanced" for a more stable frame rate, just note that occasional stutters are to be expected no matter the settings and resolution used.
Alternatively, you can set the resolution to 720p and play with the "Low" preset and Turbo mode activated.
40 FPS Optimized Settings
To play the game at 40 FPS with occasional dips (performance will vary from high 40s to high 30s, depending on the area), set the resolution to 900p, use the "Middle" preset, set "Draw Distance" to "Low," and FSR to "Balanced." You can use the "Manual" power profile and set it to about 17 W, although 18 W will give you more stable performance.
You can use higher TDP to achieve more stable performance with less frequent stutters.
30 FPS Optimized Settings
Once Human can work at a stable 30 FPS if you use the "Middle" preset with "Draw Distance" set to "Low," 900p resolution, and a manual power profile set to 18 W.
