Closer Examination
At 125 mm long by 67 mm wide and 40 mm tall, the Argon Ocelote World is a large mouse. The whole mouse is coated in soft-touch rubber and the sides have textured rubber grips.
The mouse has a very bright orange light you can turn on and off or set to breath in the driver.
Looking at its front, the mouse is unremarkable, featuring the usual left and right buttons, a strongly textured press-able scroll wheel, and two rebind-able buttons that swap between 800, 1800, 4000, and 8200 DPI in their default configuration.
Both sides are shaped the same and have two side buttons. You can unfortunately only use the buttons on one side of the mouse at a time. Which side is active can be set in the software, but I would have welcomed an option that enables the buttons on both sides.
The mouse is completely symmetrical, from front to back.
The sensor is situated slightly toward the front. Below it is the circular compartment for weights.
Here is the open weight compartment. It works on a very simple twist mechanism that wears out very quickly, which has it rattle when you move the mouse rapidly. Mine developed the issue after opening and closing it only five times. Using the mouse without the compartment cover is inadvisable because it will significantly expose the internals to dust and various debris.
Here are the 44.5 gram weights.
The braided cable is quite thick. The braiding itself is very resistant to fraying and resisted my attempts to fray it with both my nail and a needle I slid down the cable at a 90° angle to it.
