Shape

Anyone familiar with the Zowie EC series will also be familiar with the shape of the StormBreaker Max CF. The general geometry is virtually the same: the left side is raised and curves inwards, front and back flare out only moderately, and the centered hump gradually slopes down towards both ends. The main difference lies in the StormBreaker Max CF sloping down more aggressively towards the front, resulting in the main buttons sitting accordingly lower. In addition, the main buttons have moderately deep comfort grooves, and holes can be found across the entire top and bottom shell, the pattern of which consists of triangles arranged in a rotated grid, and various quadrangles. Unlike on the StormBreaker, the sides are solid on the StormBreaker Max CF. Aside from this, the shape of the StormBreaker Max CF is unchanged over the StormBreaker, and has merely been scaled up uniformly by 5%.

On the StormBreaker Max CF, the sensor position can be adjusted across the vertical axis, and by roughly 1 cm in either direction. By default, the sensor is placed right in the middle, which will be the most convenient setting for most users. A more forward or rear-positioned sensor will accordingly alter the wrist motion arc to be larger or smaller.


As for grip styles, I'd say the StormBreaker Max CF mostly suits palm and claw grip. It is a large mouse with a strongly pronounced hump, which should make it generally suit medium to large hands. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the StormBreaker Max CF very comfortable in claw grip.

Dimensions

This table includes the dimensions of the Pwnage StormBreaker Max CF and several other right-handed ergonomic mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
