RAID Operations
In this scenario, we perform RAID rebuild and sync operations during which we measure the time the NAS needs to complete these tasks, along with the average power consumption for these rebuild and sync periods. In NAS servers with four bays or more, we rebuild and sync RAID 1, RAID 5, and RAID 6 arrays, but are confined to a RAID 1 array in two-bay NAS servers. The Bitmap option is disabled in NAS servers that support it in order to produce comparable results since it speeds up RAID rebuild times.

Operation | Time | AVG Power Consumption |

RAID 1 Sync | 1:13:00 | 30.57 W |

RAID 1 Rebuild | 1:22:04 | 29.36 W |

While the TS-453A was fast enough throughout, the TS-451+ is still faster while consuming less power.
