Introduction

Razer Logo

Founded in 1998, Razer is a US-based peripherals and gaming equipment company. The right-handed ergonomic Basilisk Pro V3 is a refresh of 2019's Basilisk Ultimate. The Basilisk V3 Pro comes with Razer's latest Focus Pro sensor capable of 30,000 CPI along with Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3 rated for 90 million clicks for the main buttons, which ensure the lowest possible latency without any risk of inadvertent double-clicking. A total of 10+1 programmable buttons is present, and much like on previous Basilisk iterations, the behavior of Razer's so-called HyperScroll Tilt Wheel can be adjusted. At the press of a button, switching between tactile and free-spin scrolling is possible, and further options are present within Razer Synapse, such as smart-reel mode, which dynamically switches between the two modes depending on scroll speed. The Basilisk V3 Pro is capable of both Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless, and Razer cites a battery life of up to 90 hours in 2.4 GHz wireless operation, though when enabling the rich RGB lighting, this figure will be lower. Customization of the RGB lighting and all other features is possible within Synapse, along with the ability to modify five different on-board memory profiles. Charging is possible either by utilizing the included cable or by using the Razer Mouse Dock Pro or the Razer Wireless Charging Puck for Qi charging, both of which are separate purchases. Furthermore, the Basilisk V3 Pro is capable of a polling rate of up to 4000 Hz in 2.4 GHz wireless operation, enabled either by the Razer HyperPolling Wireless Dongle or Razer Mouse Dock Pro, both of which the Basilisk V3 Pro is compatible with. The Basilisk V3 Pro is available either in black or white.
