Shape

At first glance, the Orochi V2 very much looks like an ambidextrous mouse, but this is not the case. While the right side is convex, the left side is concave, creating a slight thumb groove. The top, on the other hand, is very much that of an ambidextrous mouse, without any shape features to accommodate the right hand. The Orochi V2 has an "egg shape," which commonly refers to a mouse that is wider at the middle than it is either at the front or back. Albeit fairly wide around the middle, the Orochi V2 is very short and small altogether, with a centered hump that slopes down quite abruptly towards both ends. The main buttons feature rather subtle comfort grooves. Another thing to note is the small footprint of the mouse, as there is plenty of overhang both at the front and back.

The sensor position is another peculiarity of the Orochi V2. Relative to the geometric middle of the mouse, the sensor is shifted forward lengthwise. However, the shift is quite small, and depending on one's hand position, it may even be described as miniscule. When placing the thumb right below the side buttons, the sensor is placed almost entirely in line with the thumb, which is why I'm hesitant to describe the Orochi V2 as having a forward sensor position.

As for grip styles, I'd say the Orochi V2 is mainly suited for claw and fingertip grip. It is a small mouse with a moderately pronounced hump, which makes it mostly suit medium to small hands. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the Orochi V2 to be too small in claw grip.

This table includes the dimensions of the Razer Orochi V2 and several ambidextrous mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
