Surface
As I have mentioned earlier, there are three different color variations available, as in white, gray, and black. If I am correct, the Kone AIMO features the same surface coating for its grip areas as the EMP and Owl-Eye; they at least feel exactly the same. It is some sort of matte UV coating ROCCAT calls a Pro-Grip Surface. It feels very nice in the hand and is pleasant to the touch, and is a transition between a rubberized and standard matte finish. However, there is no rubber layer here, so you don't have to worry about it peeling off after a few years.
The side buttons, CPI changers, and pretty much every other part of the mouse that does not belong to the main grip areas feature a slightly rougher texture plastic. It doesn't collect fingerprints as much as the Pro-Grip Surface, but feels a bit more slippery.
Build Quality
My experience shows that ROCCAT is among the best when it comes to build quality. I tried a lot of their mice and didn't have a single QC issue with any of them. The Kone AIMO is no exception; no squeaks, creaks, or rattling of any kind, and no button pre- or post-travel. Everything feels rock solid and right in place. I wish more manufacturers would take this matter as seriously as ROCCAT does because this is just amazing.
Weight
We have come to the part I dislike most about the Kone AIMO, which is its weight. It weighs roughly 130 grams, which I would consider a lot even with dimensions like these. A weight-drop to a maximum of 110 somehow would be very good as this is generally too much. Once again, this too is up to personal preference, but a lower weight puts less stress on your joints, which is better over the long term. We are all different, though, so if you have strong hands, it might suit you perfectly. Summing it up generally and objectively, it is heavy.
