The cooler is fairly stealthy due to its black appearance, but that only makes the diamond-cut Scythe logo pop even more. Suffice it to say, it almost glows if any light hits it at all. This contrast adds some visual flair without being over the top or too aggressive. Either way, if you are leaning towards an understated cooler, the Scythe Mugen 5 Black Edition might be a good option.
Due to the asymmetrical design adding extra clearance in the front, you can install RAM of any height on mainstream sockets. That said, if on an HEDT platform, you're going to want to do some checking first. Even then, most memory should still fit, but some extra prudence never hurts. As for graphics card clearance, I found no issues there, either. It should be noted that if you need some extra performance, you can buy a matching fan for the one included with the cooler, and since extra fan clips are included, it is an easy enough addition to make. However, it makes the cooler a great deal more expensive, so keep that in mind. Still, I ran into no issues with the motherboard VRM heatsinks or other components with a second fan added.
