Installation
Installing the Scythe Ninja 5 is a straightforward affair; simply position the backplate on the motherboard and secure it in place with the plastic standoffs while making sure the rubber side is facing the motherboard.
Now, secure the mounting hardware to the backplate and apply some thermal paste in preparation for the heatsink.
Position the heatsink on the CPU and begin tightening down the spring screws, alternating between them to apply even pressure. With the heatsink secured, you can now attach the fans and plug them into the motherboard fan header. At this point, you are ready to go.
I would rate the installation of the Scythe Ninja 5 an 8 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest). The biggest drawback to the installation process is the cooler's size; however, that in and of itself is only a minor complaint.
