While we usually dive right into the chassis review at this point, let's take a look at the power supply first. It is essentially exactly the same as thereviewed 750 W variant. However, instead of a metal distribution system, it has one specific to the Syncro chassis. Thus, there is that single cable bundle that sends all the juice to the Connect module.

The top has the usually two-tone Seasonic look and feel, with the underside covered by a sticker with all the specifications of the 650 W unit. Just like the more universal Connect model, you will find a hybrid on/off button on the back of the PSU.

All the cables within the package are short and geared specifically for this chassis, which reduces your cable clutter. On top of that, Seasonic includes two to three different lengths of cable to connect the motherboard PWM or ARGB signal to the Connect module. While this is a very nice touch, I feel it is a bit overkill as just a long cable each would absolutely suffice. A simple manual, mounting screws, and the power cable complete the extras found within the package.

The Connect module for the Q series of cases looks distinctively different from the standalone variant, but essentially functions the same way. In the top, which will be visible from the outside, you will see the company logo, while the underside has a honeycomb opening under which you can clearly see a metal plate.

There are two strategically positioned connections on this side of the module. There are six PCIe power plugs and lower down, there is a 24-pin ATX power plug. This is different from the standalone Connect PSU as the Q704 comes with cutouts for these to make the most of the distribution system.

One edge of the Connect module only sports two CPU power connectors alongside a single set of PWM/ARGB plugs. On the other side, however, are three SATA/Molex connectors and six such PWM/ARGB combos.

The top edge holds the sync plugs, which are what you will use to allow your motherboard to control the fans as well as any ARGB elements connected to the module. Next to this are another three SATA/Molex connectors.

Seasonic has built one Connect module for all three PSU variants. So with the 650 W variant, you will, for example, only receive four PCIe cables, while the 850 W unit will come with all six.
