The Sharkoon TG6 RGB oozes sensibility. Clocking in at an affordable $85 while offering a full four-fan setup out of the box, all its features are meant to be useful and functional. The base for such a case is a trusted, widely used OEM frame, while the glass side panel is mounted perfectly clean, with the front also using glass, which is where other brands opt to sneak in acrylic at a similar or even more expensive price point.
In terms of I/O, the TG6 RGB also comes with a full complement of ports and a dedicated RGB toggle button. Diving into the interior, the generic PCB for RGB cables is nice to see, as you are free to buy any brand to expand your internal illumination so long as you have that 3-pin connectivity. The four fans are also pretty sensible in terms to their noise to performance ratio and look unique, which ends up at the core of making the TG6 RGB stand out visually from the many similarly designed enclosures out there.
Putting your hardware into the chassis is a no-frills task because of the frame, and it is nice to see the reusable expansion slot covers. However, Sharkoon does not include any zip ties, which will mean that your build will not look as clean as it could. This is not helped by the basic opening on the shroud either. Lastly, I am an advocate of offering as many 2.5" trays as can be used since most brands don't sell them separately.
Let's quickly recap: The Sharkoon TG6 RGB offers loads of feature and extras out of the box other brands charge that magical $99 for, but compromises less with a better material mix and a simple, widely used frame, as well as an uncompromising platform for RGB expandability, which is a big topic for all those users on a budget. This makes the TG6 RGB a solid and refreshingly affordable choice!
