Overall, SilentiumPC does one thing well, and that is to deliver tremendous value. The Navis EVO ARGB 280 is no exception. While not the best-performing closed-loop liquid cooler, it does do quite well considering the MSRP of €92.00/$84.00. That said, it does situate itself towards the bottom of the pack by being 1-2° off the average pace of most RGB-focused designs in the OC FPU test, but even so, it still delivers decent value as it comes in somewhere between $15 to $60 cheaper than competing products. So while overall cooling performance isn't class-leading, it's acceptable, and the same can be said of the overall noise profile. At 45 dBA with the fans at maximum RPM, the cooler is audible; however, it is unobtrusive and can easily be ignored, which means you will not hear it at idle and medium loads.

While the RGB lighting may not be to everyone's liking, I don't think there is all that much room for complaints considering the cooler's affordable price. It can also be turned off if you dislike it that much. That said, for those who prefer RGB lighting, I can say it works fairly well on this product. I noticed no issue in color uniformity in various lighting modes, which is why it is a bit sad to see the lighting flicker when using some of the dynamic effects, such as rainbow, color shift, etc. Yes, with it just next to you, it is likely you won't notice, but if you're watching it directly, it's hard to miss.

You might think that build quality suffers at such an enticing price, but I am happy to say that is not the case. Clearance around the socket was great as I found no issues in regards to memory or graphics card clearance. Mechanically speaking, the pump is silent, and the radiator had no blemishes or bent fins. Backing the cooler with a three-year warranty, it is clear SilentiumPC also believes in their product's quality. After all, a three-year warranty is more than some competitors offer. Sadly, not everyone has access to these coolers as availability outside of Europe is extremely limited.

In summary, the SilentiumPC Navis EVO ARGB 280 is not a product that is going to wow you with best in class cooling performance or ultra-low noise levels. It will not deliver the craziest lighting effects you have ever seen. However, what it will give you is an all-in-one liquid cooler that features good performance, decent noise levels, RGB lighting, and a solid three-year warranty all at an amazing price. Taking all that into account, I have no problem giving it our Budget award.
