The Silverstone Heligon HE01 is nothing special in the looks department, but that is certainly not a bad thing since its lack of a specific theme makes it mesh well with almost any build. Not standing out in the looks department can sometimes be a good thing.

Again, its simple appearance makes this cooler match my test system's red and black motherboard nicely. The fact that the cooler is primarily made out of aluminum also means that it will be right at home in one of Silverstone's very own aluminum chassis.

There is one thing I can say with absolute certainty. If you want to avoid fingerprints, wear some gloves. The unpainted aluminum is a serious fingerprint magnet.

The Silverstone Heligon HE01's memory clearance is simply amazing. Yes, the second, larger, fin stack hangs over the DIMM slots on LGA2011; however, if you are looking at it for one of Intel's LGA1155 Z77 boards, you would be free and clear to use whatever memory you want. The Heligon HE01 could, as such, depending on platform choice, offer open access to all four DIMMs. LGA2011 owners, you're left out in the cold, so stick to standard-height heat spreaders to play it safe or your otherwise nice-looking memory modules may not fit.

Here, the second fin stack overhangs the DIMMs on my X79 motherboard used for testing. Clearance is still fairly decent, but you won't place any Corsair Dominators in there, that's for sure.
