Silverstone Tundra TD02-LITE Review

A Closer Look

The Silverstone Tundra TD02-LITE is obviously a closed-loop liquid CPU cooler. The radiator features a high fin density of roughly 20 fins per inch / 2.54 cm. Keep in mind that the TD02-LITE cannot be expanded without massive modifications as it is a CLC (closed loop cooler). The tubing is out of your standard smooth rubber, which I myself prefer to the less visually appealing corrugated tubing. For those wondering, the tubing is 31 cm / 12 inches in length.

The pump makes use of swivel fittings for the tubing and is adorned with the Silverstone logo and a few blue LEDs. The copper base could use a bit more love as it is far from polished, but unlike the TD03-LITE, the TD02-LITE has a relatively smooth base with only very few visible machining marks. The difference is small, though still noticeable.

Silverstone paired its 120 mm radiator with two APA1225M12 fans which have a PWM range of 1500-2500 RPM. I would have liked a better RPM range as 1500 is quite a high minimum. In terms of appearance, the simple and elegant black and white design make the fans and the Tundra TD02-LITE should fit most system themes without it becoming an eyesore. The nine fan blades also feature small curved channels to further direct and improve airflow. Let us now get this baby mounted to see what it can do!
