Silverstone Tundra TD03-LITE Review

A Closer Look

The Silverstone Tundra TD03-LITE is, as you should probably be aware of at this point, a closed-loop liquid CPU cooler. At roughly 20 fins per inch / 2.54 cm, its radiator has a high fin density. While the TD03-LITE cannot be expanded upon, it does feature a tried and true design. The tubing is out of smooth rubber, which I myself prefer to the less visually appealing corrugated tubing. For those wondering, the tubing is 31 cm / 12 inches in length.

The pump, which features Silverstone's logo prominently on top, makes use of swivel fittings for the tubing. The copper base could use a bit more love as it's far from polished and some minor machining marks are visible. You also won't find any built-in fan headers or other crazy inclusions on the pump. This CLC is bare-bones through and through to keep costs down.

Silverstone paired the 120mm radiator with a single APA1225M12 fan with a PWM range of 1500-2500 RPM. I would have liked a better RPM range as 1500 is quite high for a minimum RPM. In terms of appearance, the simple and elegant black and white design should make the fan and Tundra TD03-LITE fit most system themes without becoming an eyesore. The nine fan blades also feature small curved channels to further direct and improve airflow. Overall, Silverstone has done a great job in keeping quality up to par while making sure the TD03-LITE is affordable. Let's now get this cooler mounted to see what it can do!
