Super Flower has for quite some time been considered one of the best PSU manufacturers, and with products like the Leadex-1200 W I tested in this review, it definitely comes as no surprise. Their engineers are obviously miracle workers, and SF's R&D team is also constantly working hard on producing such great designs and platforms. With ultra-stable voltage on all rails, minor ripple under even incredibly stressful conditions, and close to Titanium efficiency, the Leadex unit's design delivers amazing performance. SF also managed to follow through with an aggressive pricing strategy, which makes most of their products cheaper than the competition. I still wonder how they pull it off, but the only thing that matters in the end is that they provide top-quality and performance at very competitive pricing. The Leadex-1200 unit I evaluated today is clear proof of that fact. Check the corresponding performance charts and you will see that it even comes in second to only lose to the significantly more expensive Corsair AX1200i that utilizes a digital design for even better performance. I strongly believe that SF's engineers have managed to push the analog circuits to their limits with the new Leadex platform, and my only complaint is that they did not include a stronger and more efficient 5VSB circuit since it clearly isn't on par with the PSU's other circuits. This particular issue will hopefully be fixed in SF's new platform.
I can find no reason not to buy the Leadex-1200 W if you need the capacity and can find the PSU, since it is incredibly difficult to source. It features top-notch build quality, performs incredibly, and can be had for an honest price. It definitely can't be called affordable, but deserves its price tag. Users in the US have to fall back on SF re-brands since SF doesn't hold a retail presence there. Very few stores in Europe, and these include Caseking.de and Overclockers.co.uk as both are official SF distributors, offer SF products, but neither of the aforementioned companies actually ships to every country in the EU. I hope that these circumstances will soon change as having such great products without the corresponding retail presence is a real shame.
